Cookie Consent Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and web beacons.

How We Use Cookies and Local Storage

The Paddle Stack application uses minimal cookies and browser storage technologies. We prioritize your privacy and only store data that is essential for the App to function.

Essential Storage (Required)

These are necessary for the App to function properly and cannot be disabled:

StoragePurposeDuration
Local Storage: paddle-stack-storeStores active session data (queue, match history, scores) for offline functionalityUntil session ends or cleared
Local Storage: cookie-consentRemembers your cookie consent preference1 year

Third-Party Cookies

We do not use any third-party cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising technologies. Specifically:

  • No Google Analytics or other analytics trackers.
  • No advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
  • No social media tracking cookies.
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind.

Supabase Connection

The App connects to Supabase for database operations. Supabase may set its own session cookies to manage API connections. These are strictly functional and do not track your browsing behavior. For more details, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Managing Your Preferences

Browser Controls

You can control and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies and storage data are set.
  • Delete specific cookies or all cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific or all sites.
  • Clear local storage data.

Note: Clearing local storage while an active open-play session is running will result in loss of unsaved session data (queue positions, current match scores). Make sure to sync your data to the cloud before clearing.

How to Clear Local Storage

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Consent Policy as we add new features or as regulations evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If we introduce any new types of cookies or tracking, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where required.
