Question 1

What is Open Play Central?

Accepted Answer

Open Play Central is the live queuing and paddle stacking platform for open play sessions in the Philippines. It handles player queues, skill-based matchmaking, court assignments, live score tracking, and leaderboards for pickleball and other racquet sports. All in one app.

Question 2

How do I join an open play session?

Accepted Answer

Create your player profile on the home page, then browse upcoming open play sessions across the Philippines. You can reserve your spot online by logging in to your profile and choosing your preferred session.

Question 3

Is Open Play Central free to use?

Accepted Answer

Listing your open play sessions is free. Create an organizer account and put your sessions on the board. Live Queuing is not free. Organizers top up PKL Coins to start and run a live queue, matchmaking, and court rotation. Players can still create a profile and find sessions at no charge.

Question 4

What is paddle stacking and live queuing?

Accepted Answer

Paddle stacking is Open Play Central’s live queuing system for open play sessions. Players join a real-time queue, get skill-matched, and rotate onto courts automatically — built for pickleball and other racquet sports communities in the Philippines.

Question 5

How does the skill-based matchmaking work?

Accepted Answer

When you register, you select a skill level (Beginner to Expert) based on DUPR-equivalent ratings. The matchmaking algorithm pairs players of similar skill levels to ensure fair and competitive games in the live queue.

Question 6

What is XP and how do I earn it?

Accepted Answer
